Parents and Students

Of course, here is where the real differences are made.  This is the crucial relationship where influence can be most effectively exercised.  A parent who reads to their pre-school child several minutes every day is directly preparing that child succeed in school.  The child who comes home enthusiastic about someday going to college has an influence on the parent.  Learning is reciprocal, and in no relationship is that reciprocity more important than between a parent and a child.

In some of Spartanburg County’s school districts, “SAM/School District Partnership Agreements” are sent home with students for parents and students to discuss and to sign.  Ask about this possibility in your school, or check with our Director of Communications, Kim Atchley for more info.
